I purchased my first vette, a Torch Red 1996 LT-4, in April 2004.  The next month, Susie and I joined COCH.  We have really enjoyed club’s activities and events and have tried to be as active as possible.  Susie has headed up the Toys for Tots Drive the last two years and our club has done a great job each year in making the drive a success.

I guess waiting so long to get a vette has caused me to want to “catch up”, since I bought my second vette in April of 2005.  This time I purchased a 1976 L82 4-speed that had some additional work on it such as the 383 Stroker engine.  Like my first vette I bought the ’76 on Ebay.  I wanted to buy one within a two hour drive of Houston…well, it ended up being within a two hour flight of Houston.  The car was in northern California.  Susie and I flew to Sacramento and drove the car 1800 miles home!  The trip was great and we got 12 MPG!!
